This guide is based on a Yamaha R6 from 2000 with a kit gear box. Your gears will proberbly be different, but this should be useful as a general guide.

Turn 1 (after the start/finish straight): Brake around the 150m marker, shift down 2 or 3 gears, into 2nd gear. As soon as you have apexed, and set up for turn 2, you should get on the gas towards turn 2. Gear: 2nd

Turn 2 (soft right hander): Keep on the gas towards turn 3. Gear: 2nd

Turn 3 (slow left hander): Brake a little and shift down 1 gear, into 1st gear. Beware of the bumps on the inside of the corner, you can ride on them, but some might prefer a wider line to avoid them. Remeber to gas it hard towards turn 4. Gear: 1st

Turn 4 (very slow right hander): Brake hard and try to hit the enterance in the middel, this is a slow turn, but there is no need to make a wide enterance. Gear: 1st

Turn 5 (very tight left hander): This is an uphill turn, with a bumpe entry, try to take it tight, so you can get the bike upright and apply the gas for the back straight. The back straight is quite bumpy, especially in the braking zone! Gear: 1st

Turn 6 (left hander at the end of backstraight): Brake around the 175m point. Shift down 3-4 gears into 1st. Beware that the enterance is bumpy, and a bad suspension setup will seriously harm your braking lenght. Try to aim for the right hand side of turn 7. Gear: 1st

Turn 7 (quick right hander): Just apex on the right hand curb, and get on the gas towards turn 8. Gear: 1st

Turn 8 (180 left hander): Brake a little and make a tight entry. It is important to get on the gas early, so look thru the turn. You might want to go in a gear higer, to avoid upshifting while getting on the gas. Gear: 1st

Turn 9 (180 fast right hander): Brake at the 100m marker and go in very fast, you should enter from the left hand side of the track. Shift down 2 gears into 2nd. This turn i quite wide, and you will scrub a lot of speed as soon as you lean the bike over. Apex in the middle and get on the gas early (just like turn 8). Gear: 2nd

Turn 10 (tight left hander): Brake at the 150m marker (There is a white line across the track that can be used as a braking marker). This is a good spot to overtake, if you take a tight line. Gear: 1st

Turn 11 (fast right hander): Keep on the gas, and do a short shift into 3rd in the middle of the corner. Aim for the left curb on the exit. Gear: 2nd/3rd

Turn 12 (chicane): Brake around the 50m marker and shift 2 gears down into 1st. Keep to the left while braking, you can use the curb just fine. Turn to the right, and get ready to flick it left for turn 13. Gear: 1st

Turn 13 (left hander out to the start/stop straight): Gas it early, and try to keep a tight line in the beginning. As soon as the track merges with the oval, there is a lot of space. Gear: 1st

This is based on a best lap of 1.55.
