Introduction

Roaring down a curvy road, you blast down long straights, then hard on the brakes, hook into turns... just you, your car and the competition. That's what road racing is like! The Midwestern Council of Sports Car Clubs has found a niche for itself, as well as a national reputation, because of it's highly competitive programs and members. With nearly 1,000 members competing in both Autocross and wheel-to-wheel racing series, Council is one of the largest amateur sports car racing organizations in the United States.

Acting as a coordinating and regulating body, Midwestern Council sanctions between 10 and 14 weekend events annually, each sponsored by one of the nine individual clubs it comprises. All cars and drivers participating in events sanctioned by the Council must meet our strict regulations for safety and race worthiness. These safety requirements, thorough pre-race tech inspections, extensive trackside safety equipment, and combined with the Council's Drivers' School program, produce one of the finest safety records in motorsports today.
